The process of building a diverse, equitable and inclusive team is ongoing. It's a learning and doing journey. It starts by acknowledging the current reality, setting a vision and values, and embracing the uncomfortable.
This guide is an overview of what I've learned about how to talk with teams about diversity, equity and inclusion. I acknowledge that it is from the perspective of a white manager as that is the learning journey I've been on. (If you are seeking resources as a person of color to help you facilitate a conversation with your white colleagues, I apologize that this guide is not that.)
This is simply a starting point. There are many experts and resources on this topic who can guide you as you continue the journey, some of which are included at the end of this guide.
